~ Where Deep Tissue Meets Deep Relaxation ~

Meet Moxcey

I provide personalized integrative bodywork to help people improve their physical comfort and function while accessing deep states of relaxation and integration. My goal is to aid each client's natural ability to function well, to move freely, and to process the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual experiences of life.

I graduated from Spa Tech Institute in 2008 and opened my part-time practice in 2009, integrating Swedish, deep tissue, and neuromuscular massage, offering chair massage, and making house calls. I completed further trainings including Muscle Restore Technique for head, neck, and shoulder pain and CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. In 2024 I began practicing massage therapy full-time. I enjoy continuing to study, learn, and modify my approach as our collective knowledge base of the human body deepens.

My approach is also informed by over twenty years of hatha yoga practice and a decade of providing direct support to people with disabilities, neurodivergence, and histories of trauma and abuse. As a Registered Maine Recreation Guide and Direct Support Professional, I co-led many inclusive and adaptive outdoor trips in Maine and New Hampshire with activities ranging from rock climbing to kayaking.

What to Expect

Integrative massage sessions use a combination of techniques based on your and your body's individual needs and goals. Benefits include reduced soft tissue restrictions, reduced discomfort, and increased mobility, flexibility, comfort, and bodily awareness. Elements of deep tissue work, Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and assisted stretching may be used, depending on your needs and preferences. These sessions use hypoallergenic lotions or oils and moderate to very firm pressures with the client comfortably disrobed and securely draped.

Craniosacral sessions are performed with the recipient full clothed, require no oils or lotions, and use very light hand contact focused primarily on the head and along the spine. These sessions work more through the parasympathetic nervous system than through mechanical manipulation of the soft tissues.
